Dr. Shearer is the founder of Shearer Research, LLC, is a cofounder of Liquen Technologies and is also a researcher at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is involved in multiple areas of chemical technology. Prior to the above ventures, he was Director of Analytical and Chemical Technologies at RES Kaidi where he helped to develop and certify jet and diesel fuels derived from biomass and natural gas. Dr. Shearer began his career at Shell in R&D (Houston) and later worked in R&D and product management roles at Sievers Instruments (Ionics and GE) and Agilent.
