Dr. Md Saydur Rahman is a Professor in the School of Integrative Biological and Chemical Sciences at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), Brownsville. He earned his Ph.D. in Marine and Environmental Sciences from the University of the Ryukyus, Japan. His research focuses on environmental toxicology, stress physiology, and the effects of environmental contaminants and other stressors on aquatic organisms. His work uses histological, immunohistochemical, biochemical, and molecular approaches to investigate oxidative stress, cellular damage, and physiological responses in fish and marine invertebrates, including American oysters. His broader research interests include marine pollution, emerging contaminants, environmental biomarkers, and ecological risk assessment.Presentation(s):
