Dr. Garrett Hellinghausen is an analytical chemist and research scientist specializing in advanced separation sciences, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and sustainable laboratory technologies.
Dr. Hellinghausen completed his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) between 2015 and 2019. During his time at UTA, he conducted extensive research under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel W. Armstrong, a world-renowned Welch Distinguished Professor of Chemistry.
His academic contributions focused on chiral separations: Developing highly effective enantiomeric separation methodologies utilizing newly synthesized core-shell chiral stationary phases (CSPs) and cyclofructans for pharmacology, toxicology, and tobacco alkaloid research.
Dr. Hellinghausen joined VUV Analytics in early 2026, where he focuses on vacuum-ultraviolet spectroscopic detection in liquid chromatography.Presentation(s):
