Gerasimos Dimitratos is a student at Farmingdale State College with hands-on experience in laboratory testing, CAD design, manufacturing, and technical product support. He worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Koehler Instrument Company, where he supported product development and prototype validation by creating 2D and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
At Koehler, Gerasimos conducted experiments evaluating the physical and chemical properties of industrial greases using ASTM and ISO standards. He also manufactured more than 50 components using CNC milling equipment and manual lathe operation, contributing directly to instrument development and laboratory testing projects. In addition, he presented technical instruments to international suppliers, designed technical posters for NLGI and STLE competitions, and supervised two college senior project teams as the primary technical point of contact between the students and the company.
He also served as a Student Assistant at Farmingdale State College, where he prepared answer keys, maintained academic files and records, and processed documents with a high level of accuracy. His professional interests include mechanical design, manufacturing, laboratory testing, petroleum and lubricant instrumentation, and applied engineering support.Presentation(s):
