Dan is the Technical Director for o2si, an LGC Standards company, in Charleston, South Carolina. Dan helped found o2si in 1997 with the goal of creating an organic solution reference material company focused on providing high quality, affordable, custom organic solutions for the environmental testing industry. Over the years o2si grew into an organic and inorganic custom reference material manufacturer for many industries. He got his Doctorate Degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Delaware in 1981. His first job was with Reichhold Chemical Company in the Analytical Research and Development Group of the Emulsion Polymers Division. From there he became Technical Director for Trident Labs, an environmental testing laboratory, in 1990 where he expanded the laboratory capabilities to become a full service environmental testing company. His current responsibilities with LGC Standards include specialized product production, problem solving, new product and method development, training, and customer support.
