Dr. Schomburg received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University specializing in analytical electrochemistry and nano-scale molecular spectroscopy.  Before joining PerkinElmer, Dr. Schomburg has worked for several companies such as the USDA, The Texas State Chemists Office, ATMI, and Phelps Dodge performing various roles ranging from laboratory technician to laboratory manager.  Currently, Dr. Schomburg is the Principal Scientist for Key Accounts at PerkinElmer.  The main function of this role is to provide training and technical support to the PerkinElmer sales team, service engineers and global account customers in the fields of instrumental analysis used for oil, lubricant and fuels analysis
