2019 - Tore Fossum
Emeritus
Tor Systems

Tore Fossum graduated from NTSU with a BS in Chemistry. He tested petroleum for a year in New Orleans in the early 1970s, then worked with the effect of light on living systems at UTD. In 1978, he started with Mettler Instrument assisting chemists with their titrator equipment. Beginning in the early 1980s, he presented titration seminars to improve the chemist and technician's utilization of the modern microprocessor based instruments. In the 1990s he worked on a development team at Mettler Toledo to develop new, easier to use instruments. In the 2000s, Tore served as technical director of titration. He recently retired from Mettler Toledo, and currently consults on titration issues in industry. One of Tore's side interests is in the chemistry of nutrition; what do we need to eat to stay healthy?
